Destination ImagiNation Offers New Resource for Team Managers

Beta release of Roadmap provides an outline to guide teams from their first session to a Tournament

Cherry Hill, NJ—October 14, 2010—Destination ImagiNation (DI) is excited to announce Roadmap, a new resource currently in beta, designed to help Team Managers navigate their teams to a Tournament. The resource will be available as a free download on the organization’s Web site.

Roadmap features activities and discussion points that will help new teams understand the most important elements of the program. It also provides Team Managers with material for 16 planned team sessions,” said Rusty McCarty, Creative Director and Chief Operating Officer of DI. “We want to make it as easy as possible for new teams to participate in our program.”

Roadmap follows the five process stages of the DI program as a framework to help teams learn problem solving, practiceInstant Challenges, develop their Team Challenge solutions and prepare for a Tournament. The resource is designed as a complementary resource for the DI Program Materials, which every team receives upon purchasing a Team Number.

To aid Team Managers, Roadmap also contains a to-do list for each team session. The list provides a detailed account of the materials the Team Manager will need, any information to consider beforehand, and a list of pages to print for the team. The resource also encourages users to document the team’s experience along the way.

Team Managers can download a free PDF of Roadmap here: http://www.idodi.org/index.php/team-support/roadmap-to-a-tournament.

Hard copies can be purchased at the link below, for the cost of printing and shipping: http://www.shopdi.org/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=&products_id=902.

Roadmap is currently in beta, and DI encourages all users to send feedback and comments to roadmap@dihq.org.
